You will have to consider where you are going to be parking your leisure vehicle overnight as a lot of people seem to think that they can park almost anywhere but this is not the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A number of campervan owners love wild camping visiting very remote locations and some will just park up anywhere and spend the night. However, you can\u2019t just pull off the road onto some open grassland and stay overnight unless you have permission to do so by the owner of the land i.e. the farmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If it is a designated area that allows overnight parking for the likes of campervans and motorhomes then that is fine. However, when arriving at such a location please check the signage just to make sure you can park up overnight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are some places in some National Parks that do allow you to park your campervan overnight but some do not so please be careful and make some enquiries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be careful about parking in public car parks as some will not allow the parking of vehicles overnight and you could be fined for doing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It would be preferable if you parked overnight in a caravan park or camping site that permits campervans. Yes, you will have to pay but at least you know for certain that you are allowed to stay there. You will have access to all their facilities as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You could consider staying overnight in a truck stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t park overnight in a motorway car park otherwise you could end up with a parking fine for staying more than the 2 or 3 hours that such places tend to allow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
