Campervan owners spend their nights away in their leisure vehicles in a variety of locations. Of coursed, it is all down to personal choice. Some prefer to stay on established campsites with lots of facilities such as toilets, showers and washing up arrangements whilst some love to park up for the night in the middle of nowhere high up on a hill in the countryside. Others enjoy being by the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you enjoy the latter then you will be disappointed to hear that from May 2024 you will no longer be able to spend the night in your campervan on either Lytham or St Annes promenades. Apparently, this is between the hours of 6pm and 8am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No doubt this decision will please a number of residents who live in close proximity to these promenades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will possibly result in campervan owners trying to find other locations to spend the night in their vehicles perhaps in streets close by or some may decide to completely avoid the area that they may have been visiting for many years. As a result this may have a negative impact on the incomes of a number of businesses in the vicinity of the promenades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although many campervan owners are self-sufficient in so much as they stock up their campervans with food, toiletries etc there will be many who buy groceries from supermarkets and local shops in the area of where they are staying. There will also be quite a few who tend to eat out whether that be going to a pub for a cooked breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be interesting to see what impact the above decision will have over the next few months to tourism in the area of Lytham St Annes. Will they see a drop in the number of tourists visiting the area or will it make very little difference to local businesses. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
