If you are shortly about to make your first trip across the English Channel in your campervan for a much needed holiday in the European Union there are a number of items that you will need to bring with you. The following list is not exhaustive but we hope you find it of assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are quite a few documents that you will need to take with you. the most obvious one is a valid passport \u2013 don\u2019t forget it. Take your travel insurance documents with you including contact details in the event of you needing to claim for health reasons. Your driving license needs to come with you as does the logbook for the campervan. Make sure that you are insured to drive the campervan in Europe and seriously consider including breakdown cover whilst in Europe. Bring details of your campervan insurance i.e. the policy booklet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will need a warning triangle to be displayed in the event of breaking down. There are a number of places you can buy one from but don\u2019t wait until you get to the ferry terminal. Make sure you have a hi-vis vest on should you break down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will require a UK sticker to display if your number plate doesn\u2019t already have one on it. GB stickers are no longer valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before departing on your holiday to Europe check you have enough oil, windscreen wash and anti-freeze in the campervan. Carry spare supplies. Pop into say Halfords and get a supply of spare fuses and bulbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t forget a first aid kit as this could prove invaluable. If you are travelling somewhere hot then take insect repellant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do remember to drive on the correct side of the road. Take your time whilst driving and stay within the speed limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
