If you intend to take a short break in your campervan you may be better to plan ahead when it comes to deciding where to park your campervan up for the night. One of the reasons for this is that there are apparently a number of councils in the UK who have decided to ban some locations that they have previously allowed campervan owners to park up for the night. One of the reasons why councils have taken such action could have been due to complaints from local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t just assume that because you have previously been able to park along a lovely seafront road with spectacular views of the beach and sea that you are going to be able to do so again. Check with the local council of the seaside town you intend to visit. You my not also be allowed to park in a car park that you have previously been permitted to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apparently, unfortunately, there have been a number of incidents reported in some places in the UK of campervans being parked along residential streets incorrectly with no due consideration to owners of properties in the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whilst from a financial point of view it may be cheaper to just find somewhere to park your campervan overnight where you do not have to pay it may be better in the long run to find a suitable campsite and pay the fee they charge and benefit from the facilities provided such as toilets, showers, washing and kitchen facilities. This is better than getting fined by the local council or having your campervan towed away thus spoiling your much-needed break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cost of campsites obviously varies for a number of reasons such as location and facilities provided. Hopefully, if you do your research, you may be able to find a campsite that is affordable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
