To work out what the payload is you need to be aware of what the maximum weight your campervan can be when it is fully laden. You really do need to be careful what you decide to bring with you on holiday in your campervan as the weight will quickly build up. Be selective. For instance, don\u2019t overstock on things like tins of soup as these can be bought whilst you are away if you run low. Use plastic crockery that is much lighter. Do you really need to bring all those toys for the children \u2013 after all they are on holiday and should find lots to keep them occupied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You ought to be aware that if you were to exceed the maximum weight permitted then you could be fined that, in the current economic climate, most people could do without. You could cause your tyres to wear more quickly than normal. Your campervan will probably take longer to come to a halt should you have to brake quite suddenly. The campervan may be more difficult to maneuver in particular when going around corners and roundabouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another thing to bear in mind is that you may invalidate your campervan insurance. So, in the event of submitting a claim, having been in say a road traffic accident, the insurance company may refuse to pay out meaning that you have been paying your premiums for nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
