Campervan Insurance Premiums – Have We Turned The Corner?

We are pleased to inform our readers that, according to the car insurance price index published by the price comparison website Confused.com for Q1 of 2024, the cost of car insurance premiums have fallen. On average, premiums have dropped by £54 per annum to an average of £941 per annum. That is a fall of 5%.

Yes, that is good news but let’s not forget that the cost of car insurance in the last 12 months has gone up by an average of £284 per annum with this being a huge rise of 43%.

Whilst the above index relates to car insurance premiums it is possible that campervan cover premiums have also dropped in the last 3 months. Of course, there are many owners of campervans who also have a car that they use on a daily basis.

Needless to say, it is important that when you are looking for insurance for your campervan that you seriously consider shopping around to see if you can get the cover with another insurance company at a lower premium. One way of doing this is to use the likes of a price comparison website as they provide access to a panel of insurers all of whom are competing with each other for your business.

So, when you are in receipt of your renewal notice, why not get one or more quotes from other insurers and then speak to your existing insurer to see if they can match the quote you have received from a competitor. It really does not take long to go through this process and who knows you may be able to save some money.
